Joy Ride

Woke up to a beautiful North Carolina early Spring morning and realized that the Vegas hadn't been out of it's shed for a month.
Realizing that I had a good excuse for a ride I headed out and did about 12 miles of combined secondary and interstate with the generator running and a 1500 watt space heater plugged in for a load.
First time I've seen it out of the garage with the new vent covers on.
Today's project will be to get my xm antenna onto the roof and to trouble shoot my Tadi Brothers wireless rear view camera which is acting up.

Going to head to the NC coast in April, can't come soon enough.

Looks like an incredible day, unfortunately up here in Ottawa we still have 3 plus feet of snow. For your satellite antenna, are you mourning it outside on the roof or somewhere inside under the fibreglass? I am putting my 3 bent covers on in the spring as soon as the dawg-haus is out of storage. Jim

Jim, I read a thread here from a gentleman that put his xm antenna on the roof and ran the wire down through the same hole as the tv antenna wire.

I did the same and it worked out great. I removed the tv over the entry door and that offered me great access to drop the wire into the coach.

Kev, you're weather proves that you are 50% smarter than me. You moved from Ct to FL , I only came half way to NC !

Jamie, That is a spectacular day for you in Michigan . Must feel like being reborn.

Got it done, xm antenna is now on the roof.
Not pretty but that picture was taken about 30 seconds after applying the lap sealer. It should level a little more.
Bedded the antenna in clear silicone to hold that in place.

Silicone may not stick well to the TPO roof in the long term. Run a good bead of the lap sealer around the edges and up the sides a little, then you know it can't go anywhere!

Yeah.. nice week - but FL doesn't have that 4-letter 'S' word in the forecast this coming weekend... lol
'Reality check' as the weather forecaster said on the news this morning.

LOL. I understand the move to NC, some people like the change of seasons, especially w/o snow. I just like the warm weather and the ability to ride my motorcycle year round comfortably.

LOL Some people actually like the white stuff and have been disappointed about its absence. They had to cancel a pond hockey tournament because the ice melted.

Look at the forecast after our brush with winter next weekend...back to 40s. Its more like late March/April weather around here.
