Jim, a while back I took pictures of the brackets used on an Onan 2800 which was hanging from motorhome floor/structure above. I can probably find them if you want but I'm not sure it would help you much. It was under Winnebago Travato.
The Onan brackets were similar to the ones pictured below. Keep in mind as you proceed that Onans are designed to take gas from the vehicle's fuel tank, so access for fueling isn't an issue. Onans are also engineered to make it easy to do most maintenance from one side while installed.
I'm not familiar with any Honda generators marketed in USA to mount permanently in RVs; although you may have a model I haven't seen. Portable generators I've seen were usually mounted or stored in a compartment or platform, resting directly on a support floor.
For what it's worth, I looked at a Honda 2000 watt generator a few months ago to power my air conditioner overnight, but couldn't figure a clean way I liked to store and secure it while running.
