We enjoyed our west coast trip last year. When you visit San Francisco, try to stay close in as it nearly impossible to commute to town because of the traffic. We enjoyed the northern coast more than anything else in California. The Oregon coast was our favorite.

We've stayed in San Francisco many times and always take our towed when we stay at the San Francisco RV Resort in Pacifica. Yep the traffic is a mess and we just kinda go with it to see and do our favorite stops. Pacifica is close to the freeway and fairly easy access to SAN Francisco. Our daughter and her brood live in San Mateo so that's always a stop.

North of Petaluma on Hwy 1 there are County and State Parks around Bodega Bay. Further North there are several parks in Fort Bragg.

On 101 there is a nice park in Benbow, a few miles South of Garberville. Also, a couple of fuel stations on the left just before getting to Benbow.

There are several nice parks around Eureka and Fortuna. If you get up to Eureka eat at the Samoa Cookhouse on Samoa Island. Family style servings in a lumber company cookhouse.

We're just passing through. We're staying at La Sage Riviera in Grover Beach for about two weeks.

I have stayed at the Flying Flags several times and love that place. Easy walk to Anderson's restaurant.

Never been to Flying Flags, been by there many times. We usually stay at the Elks in Santa Barbara, $35 per night and we have access to Santa Barbara.

I recommend you continue north. California has some beautiful coast line, but Oregon is awesome....you won't be disappointed.

I know, we lived in Oregon for about 10 years and loved the coast and all of the Northwest. Some great coastal RVING when it wasn't raining

Pismo Beach, day 10. So far good, no issues with the coach and the handling fix working well.

1/2 bath toilet managed to disconnect its self from the floor. Thankfully no body was purched on the thrown. I had a mechanic take a look and turned out two loose bolts had slipped from the mounting. Took him about 20 minutes to tighten it down and all was good, no damage.

Morro Bay
Spent the day in Morro Bay, fog obscured most of the Rock but got some pictures of boats with the Rock in the background and sea otters and individual boaters.

Edna's Valley Wine Trail.
We made stops at some of our favorite wineries. Wolfe Creek, Edna Valley, Tangent and Ballyanna. Always fun and time for a nap. Click image for larger version

San Luis Obispo (SLO) Thursday Farmers Market. Block off the street for about four blocks and add dozens of vendors selling food, flowers and vegetables. Starts about 6 till about 9 with hundreds of people from the school and surrounding community. Fun atmosphere.Click image for larger version
