I found out from Thor that the 3 Channel Multiplexor Control Unit does not have it's own direct power feed, but comes from the radio power feed and blinker power feeds.

I also have a PDF of the manual (attached) for the backup camera system. I have a voltage meter tester. Page 17 is what I really needed to see. I don't think Thor used the cable colors listed (I don't remember seeing typical red and black), but with the connector diagram label, I will be able to test for main backup camera power. If no power detected, I will go to the back of the radio and check connections again.

I hope to get to the motorhome tonight and try this.

Thanks for the attachment. I plugged the video cable into a stand alone monitor and got a picture with the rear view camera. The side cameras did not work. My switch box is different than the one in the attachment. My radio still does not power up. I am still looking for a fuse that protects it. My radio just quit suddenly. I was parked with engine idling. still have not heard back from Thor or dealer.

I made another call to Thor support Monday. I explained that the video switcher does not appear to have any power. I was told again that it gets the power from the radio. I am having a very hard time tracing through the many thick wiring harnesses. The tech came back on the phone and said there's an in-line fuse somewhere behind the radio for the switcher. I can not find any in-line fuses anywhere. Does anyone out there know where it would be located under the dash. Sure would be nice to have this working on a brand new coach. Not looking forward to bringing it in for service. I'm less than 2 weeks away from a trip with it.

Howie,
First I would check to make sure the rear camera input to the rear of the radio is not loose. Mine was. It is the red wire that comes off the yellow colored video connector.

I would verify you are not getting power to your switch box using a non contact voltage detector on the wire and a multi meter on the pin. This would have saved me time because I discovered a pin connector was bad on mine. I wasted time looking for a fuse.

My chassis is an F53. I think yours is an E450. E-mail/call Thor and ask them for the wiring schematics for your coach. They sent me mine and hold much info.

I am on a trip and don't have all my info with me. I will send a photo of my switch box soon.

Good luck

Shawn,

That is the exact same switch box that I have, but the wiring harness that they used to go into the power in connector does not use the standard colors.

I will re-check connections starting behind the radio and tracing to the switch box.

Could you tell me if the switch box has any LED's lit when it is on?

Thanks,
Howie

Nope. I leave today to camp in Kentucky and Tennessee, so I will have plenty of time over the next week. From what I hear, I have to find the in-line fuse OR fix the connection behind the radio.

Howie,

Good luck. Have a great time. I like to check out the bourbon distilleries when I am in that area.

A simple switch at door was the problem

I’m late to this question but we just purchased a 2017 Thor Vegas 25.2. So frustrated that rear camera and side mirrors showed ‘No Signal’. All it was is the Battery Disconnect switch at the stairway (next to awning switch) had to be pushed for ‘Use’ instead of ‘Store’. Now all is working properly.

Yeah, that's common knowledge in this Forum and something that should have been covered by your pre-purchase walk through (PDI). Ask away if any other questions come up.

I could not find answer on this site so thought I’d post just in case it would help someone else.

Probably mentioned at least two dozen times, mostly to new RV owners who don't understand why the dash radio won' come on like their car radio does.
