No Shore Power
Well we took the Vegas out day before yesterday and topped off the propane and fuel in anticipation of our upcoming road trip. Got it home plugged it into the shore power and..............nothing.

As part of the diagnostics yes I checked them. the issue with the neutral being loose is that the current does not have a full flow path. From ground to phase (hot) I had 120+- volts but from neutral to phase I only had 20+- volts. without both leads connected it will not alternate back and forth. Now if you grab the phase (hot) lead it will shock you and I am no physics expert so I cant explain why but AC voltage has to have both leads in order for it to work at full voltage. My guess is the wire had enough tension when shoved into the connector to supply power in the beginning but after driving on rough South Carolina roads it lost its connection due to not being tightened up during assembly.

Your/our South Carolina roads are going to improve now that the gas tax was raised to fix em. Off subject, sorry.

They said that here in Michigan too. They're fixing the good roads and the others are still crap.

I am not holding my breath, just buying road hazard coverage for tires, ends up cheaper in the long run. LOL

The '15 year' project to repair I-75 in Michigan??
http://www.michigan.gov/documents/md...s_498560_7.pdf
What they seem to have forgotten is no road in Michigan lasts 15 years... By the time they finish - the initial sections done will be far worse than they were at the start.
And that entire project covers a whopping 18 miles...
What are smooth roads after 80 miles of driving???
Ohio after leaving Oakland County....
(hey - I lived there for 20 years... lol)

The thing is: They are always working on I-75 from I-275 to Ohio. I can't remember a summer driving that way without construction....
The new project to the North will only mean that section will also always be under construction.
(To be fair: The recently completed section of I-75 near Birch Run/Frankenmuth is still pretty smooth as is the newly rebuilt section of I-96 east of I-275.)

Don't get off the Interstates up in the middle of Michigan or it'll jar you filling loose.

You did an excellent job of trouble shooting and fixing the problem, hope it's your last one!

In all the times I have been on 75 between Toledo and Royal Oak, I don't think that I ever did have a trip that there wasn't construction somewhere, especially the Rouge River Bridge. I think I've only been across it once or twice that there wasn't some type of work going on.

LOL Currently the southbound direction on the Rouge River bridge is completely closed. They are rebuilding it because it fell apart last year: a hole opened up and crumbling bridge pieces fell onto the roads & river below!
