Toggle Switch
Is the toggle switch in my Vegas 2017 on the left hand side down next to my door not to remain in use or in storage. The switch seems to remain in neutral. When we switch it to in storage it does not remain there when we move it to in use in goes back to the center or neural. Does the switch normally work that way? dlonerg:confused

Yes, it’s supposed to work that way. It is a “momentary contact” switch. It trips a relay and then goes back to neutral (so to speak). If you listen carefully you can hear the relay when you press either end.

More specifically: If it is in use and you press the "store" side of the switch you'll hear the click. If you again press "store" you won't hear a click as its already in store. Likewise if its in "store" and you hit "use" you'll hear a click and if you hit "use" again you won't hear the click as its already in "use".

Well, what works for me is to leave the kitchen light on, then put the switch to store, which turns off the light. Then I know it's off.

Maybe one of those throw switches that you can SEE is what they need here.

They have those on some class cs and all they do is add confusion because the light is on whenever the DC buss has power whether it's from the batteries or the converter. So if you're plugged in, it does not show the status of the relay.

Exactly my situation. When I'm plugged in I turn on my inverter to check the 12v voltage. Above 13 and my use store is in use. Below 13 it is not.

I agree with Carson61...I do the same. I leave the lights on that are visible from the entry door and turn them off by use of the store/use switch. That eliminates all doubt.

Kinda like, "Turn off the lights when you leave the room". Hmm, maybe they need a house type light switch that doubles as a Use/Store switch? Nahhh.
