Are you sure that isn't a 13.6 Voltage reading?
Fault codes are normally in the format E0X.

13.6 is the voltage reading.

I currently have a fault reading of E05 (Overload shutdown). I have without shore power and without the gen or engine running 12.7 on the board. I pulled the inverter and apparently it has a short in the board which means I will be spending 304.00 on a new inverter. My wife and I are planning a run to Florida from Northern Virginia for 3 months and it would be nice not to have to run the gen to keep the fridge cold on the way down. No looking forward to replacing it. I have checked all that I could find to determine if the Pro XM 1800 inverter is bad and this is the last resort. Our Thor 35SD is a 2017 with 6k miles. We purchased it used with 3K miles. So far I am still enjoying this coach.

Are you getting the E05 with nothing connected to the AC output? Also, what is the operating VDC when you get the error AT the inverter input terminals?
If you are getting an immediate E05, the FETs have been damaged.

The inverter has a 12.7 reading on the inverter panel which is mounted just inside the door of the RV. This reading is with no shore power or gen running. I attribute this reading to the 2 inline 6 volt batteries. I checked the reading with a volt meter at the rear of the inverter and got the same 12.7 reading.
I do not know how to open the front of the inverter to check the output voltage but according to the panel it reads 0.00. I suspect the inverter is bad. Thank you for your help with this.
I am not very good with understanding what you mean regarding FETs or VDC or AT. (Not electrical oriented but learning fast!)

The XM doesn’t display output voltage, only battery voltage, current & output watts
If you have 12.7 displayed, & 0 output, you are probably on shore power & reading charge voltage.
Are you still getting E05?

The 12.7 is the input voltage with no shore power connected, no generator running, and no engine running.
I turned all the breakers off in the coach to include the main and with only the two house batteries as any source of power get the E05 code. I believe the circuitry of the inverter is bad.
I will check with Thor to see when the inverter was installed. It is a 2017.

An E05 with 12.7 Vdc is probably a blown inverter.
Contact Thor warranty and have it replaced.

That is the next step. I spoke to the manufacturer of the inverter on the phone and they referred me back to the RV dealer. I am going to contact the dealer and Thor to verify the manufacture date and when the install was done on the inverter. Then I can go either try to get Thor or go back to the manufacturer of the inverter and attempt to get it replaced under warranty. Wish me luck!

go to: Owners Guide & Troubleshooting
There are trouble shooting guides for these inverters.

For the warranty (if that applies to you as the second owner) - the 'in service' date of the RV should be what it is based on - the date it was originally purchased/titled. It might have been manufactured months earlier - doesn't change the warranty on included appliances/accessories...

I remember that when I installed my Morningstar Solar Controller with my Xantex inverter they talked about some inverters being sensitive to over voltage and the charge cycles , I think it was 13.7 volts. Trojan wants you to set it to 13.8v but I set mine to 13.6v max and so far everything works great. Xantrex wanted the voltage set to a max of 13.6. This is the cycle that follows bulk and is designed to take your batteries to a full charge.
