I'm guessing from the photo in your post that your size RV would have a standard propane RV furnace, therefore it will always require the use of propane to heat.

An alternative to using propane is a ceramic space heater. They are safe and can take the chill off an area up to 200 square feet pretty nicely, unless it is really cold.
