I've looked at all options with the desire to carry different things on different trips. I'm just gonna haul a small single axle utility trailer. I'll buy a small car (less than 3000#) and carry ladder and other small stuff on trailer as well. I can even use it for my golf cart. No braking required and easy to drop off at a CG. The "toad" systems seem too much drama for me. I must have the ability to back up some distance if I wish. I don't trust extending the hitch with the vertical bouncing issues.
