Seriously though, I try to use Google maps to get a "feel" for where we're headed in advance , my wife usually gets on her I Phone if we're not sure about getting into a campground or whatever. She's great at guiding me which allows me to concentrate on my driving and watching for low branches, bridges or whatever.
So far our system hasn't failed us yet.

(Hopefully, my wife doesn't read this. ) Maybe it's the fact that your wife has an iPhone and my wife has an Android, but when I've depended on her for directions, all too often it winds up being "You should have turned right back at that last intersection!" Of course, there are always LOTS of places to u-turn a truck and 5th wheel!
When I dare to say anything about it, the standard response is "Well, my phone didn't update our location fast enough." Fortunately, the truck's factory GPS generally gives me a heads up before she does.
