That would be my guess; similar to what the car companies do.
Perhaps Thor thinks there are too many of those models on the lots? (Do they communicate with their dealers--or do the dealers communicate with them? "We have too many")
Perhaps it is also a prelude to a price drop? I know Ford is guilty of that: They introduce a rebate one year and then the next model year's car has a lower list price and the rebate is no longer offered (they've most recently done that with my C-Max).
