Was Amazon cheaper than the SnapPad site?

I am thinking I buy from etrailer as I believe the set I need is $229.00 on etrailer?

Amazon was a few bucks more....but used my Credit Card points.

Was easy to do...used the Dawn soap and 4 snaps! Mine were 9 inch footprint. Actual snap pad footprint is 11 inches.

I bought mine from etrailer. When I purchased etrailer was the only ones that sold them in a set of 4 rather than sets of 2.

Mine have been installed for about 3 years.

I like to buy from etrailer and Techno RV whenever I can. Their Customer Service factor is one of a kind these days. I will watch for a coupon or special to beat the $229 price if I can.

Do you have any idea why etrailer would sell a set of 3?

Somebody just buy 1 to see if they like and then buy 3 more? Is it possible some RV or trailer on have 3 jacks? Something else?

Somehow after years with the pads on all 4 feet, one of them got knocked loose and lost. eTrailer was the only place I found that would sell me a single pad to replace the missing one. Really happy with eTrailer.com for a lot of the things I've bought thru them.

I installed them on my class A. They work fine and I used them for three years and they were on there when I traded. But I wouldn’t buy them again. They are heavy and caused the jacks to drift down during storage and they reduce ground clearance. And they are pretty spendy. FWIW.

Do you recall the type or model snap pad you used or the size?

uh uh, without Pete's consent.... the future purchase of SnapPads is on hold for me until further notice

Pete's advice is noteworthy.

They are heavy and caused the jacks to drift down during storage and they reduce ground clearance.

Heavy is a concern, I wonder what those 10" units weigh each? I really worry about any potential impact to Jacks due to weight when in use, or storage. I do tend to drive my RV like SUV; so ground clearance is bigger than what one might think. I have already lost my PET doggy bracket next to step that was made for tying up pets near the door. It got hit & bent up pretty bad by a cone that I ran over.

The more I think about it, I have never parked on grass expecting to put Jacks down. If it were wet, or rain in the forecast, I wouldn't even think about it. I do have my wooden blocks I made and proud of, but I have only used when I needed to adjust the height related to unlevel solid surface or to put under raised tires.

Truth be told, if rain is in the forecast we bring our slide in. No special reason other than I don't want to have to pull it in and it is wet ( not knowing when I can put it back out to dry and not mildew, I also may worry a tad about the wind blowing or ripping the slide topper).

This may be one of those things that I buy when I have a specific problem I have or some convenience that I mayy need in the future.

Snap pads are 5 lbs. Each for the 9 inch I use.

Added footprint is 1 inch.

I’ve had em for 3 years. They don’t cause my jacks to “leak” down. But you do need to occasionally check the tightness of the one bolt holding the Jack foot to the ram. If not, sooner or later, the foot and pad will disappear.

So that is 35.6 lbs, that is half of one of my AGM vMax tanks House battery.

Besides I only have a OCCC of 2,069. I don't have a TPMS, never had a official weigh and I don't intend to toss the beer, chips and cookies for these SnapPads

Honestly with more thought, in my case; I don't I would use very much and if I did, I would just assume pull out my wooden blocks. If I ever get muddy from using the wooden blocks, or ever see where I may have sinked on asphalt or grass, I will reconsider. For us the levelers are really on needed if we intend to put out slide; which our floorplan allows us go without the slide out and still have access to everything.

For me the best thing about snap pads is the ease of getting the coach set up and level. No crawling around to place blocks or squares of plywood under the coach. Crawling on gravel or wet grass is no fun for this old man.

Mine haven't moved at all since I put them on and all four were 125 with tax. When I did a review I told them they were way too heavy and they should start making them from another material

We had an Equalizer(brand) leveling system on a 31 ft Newmar class A. It used 10 inch octagonal snap pads. I didn’t weigh them but would guess they were a pound or two each. It was enough to cause one or more jacks to drift down if the coach was in storage for several weeks. They didn’t go down a noticeable amount but gave me a “jacks down” alarm on start up. It never was an actual problem as they always came right up when I pushed the retract button. But I didn’t care for it. My jacks hung down a fair amount to begin with and the snap pads hung down even more. Never dragged them but, again I didn’t care for it. Your experience may differ. I will say that they are a quality product, the company was excellent to deal with and they did what they were supposed to do in preventing sinking into grass or hot asphalt surfaces.

They are 8.9 pounds each for the 9 inch ones. I'll just keep an eye on them
