So on our first trip with the new RV, the pantry slid open three times prior to getting out of the neighbourhood. Each time food went flying with a loud crash! This is the fix I used!
I used a patio/sliding door lock from Menards at about $5.00. As you can see I used the existing holes in the pantry and only had to drill a little into the wood wall prior to placing the metal port. I was sure to place it on an angle to prevent it from slipping out - gravity IS your friend! It works perfectly!
Now I have to fix the scrapping problem with the metal pantry scratching the inside of the door. I have a small gas strut ordered, similar to the ones used in the RV to hold the upper cabinets open. Will let you all know how this works.
Oh, the wine rack is from Menards as well (about $9.00). A simply elastic keeps the four wine glasses in place and prevents noise (they are all plastic BTW!)
