Renogy Battery Temperature Sensor

Thoughts on Renogy Battery Temperature sensor. If you have four batteries you need 4-each sensors?

No, just one.

the temperature sensor uses the ambient temperature around the battery to accurately provide temperature compensation.

One should be enough. But since a failing battery can get hot and draw down the other batteries, I would check the four batteries periodically with an IR gun and particularly if your battery capacity starts suddenly dropping.

When one of my two house batteries started going bad, one would be 100 F the other would be ambient- 75-80. So if you shoot them with an IR gun it will be obvious when one is going bad.

So in that case the 75-80 one is "unexceptional".
