Vegas dream dinette seats

Anyone add cushion or padding to dream dinette bench seats?

Our "Dream Dinette" is so uncomfortable it should be called a "Nightmare Dinette". Unfortunately I can't fit theater seats in there because of the water heater. So... we live with the little inconveniences, and compromise.

We also want to change out the foam padding.
The current padding is poor quality.
Firmer padding is not that expensive, and it looks simple to swap out.

Changing the foam pad might help. The omni had whimpy foam and little support. If you sat near the edge you almost fell off. The Valencia has much better foam and support sitting at the dinette. Rather than top a lousy cushion, replace it with good stuff.

Personally don't know but furniture restoration places might be a good place to start. High density stuff is what I'd look for.

We have bought many different types of foam for various projects over the years, and fortunately have The Foam Factory just a few miles from our home. They have everything you would ever need, and are very friendly. I'd give them a call, tell them what you want and see what they can do. Beware, you can get sticker shock from some of the denser foams.

Something else to consider in the dinette. A topper is likely to slide around and not stay in place. A mattress topper is bigger, probably held in place with a mattress pad so it stays in place. I would think a dinette topper would quickly be unusable. Another consideration is the quality and support the existing dinette/booth cushions have. On the omni it was poor, very little support especially along the edges and a topper wouldn't have fixed that.

The only remedy for the cushions would be to upgrade to better foam.
