Exterior lights

Hi, I purchased a 2000 four winds hurricane 30q about a year ago, and it recently failed inspection due to rusty brake rotors, and lines. While waiting for an appointment, I noticed that my right brake light is out, and the right turn signal in the back is very dim when I go to use it, and both reverse lights blink. I asked the nearest Rv Service about replacements and was told it would take two weeks for the bulbs and I should just go to a parts store which should carry them, but I was told by Ford that I would need to go to an RV parts store. Also, while trying to remove the lens I noticed that the heads of the screws are stripped, and I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to not only how to remove the lens, but do I really need to order light bulbs that I thought should be available at any auto parts store?

Thank you

Light bulbs are standard automotive bulbs.

if the heads of the screws are stripped so you can't turn them with a screwdriver you'll have to resort to drilling and EZouts.

Thank you, I figured as much, thought I’d ask anyway.

Check them closely. If the plastic is weathered, you would be wise to replace them both. Just be sure you have new ones in hand before you remove them.

Those brake light units are notorious for leaking. When you get them off, spray the holes for them with a flex steel product and be sure to seal them well when you put them back on. Use stainless steel screws.
