First Timers in MO
Hi all,
My wife and I just bought a 2017 Thor Four Winds 28Z for our first RV. We are going through things to make sure everything works and are trying to learn as much as we can before taking it out for our first weekend. Luckily, for the most part the RV had not been used much so everything appears to be in great shape, but I have found a few things I did not notice such as a tear in the awning above the slide that will need to be repaired/replaced.
Hope to learn what we can and looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the RV life now that all our kids are grown and gone

Best advice I can give you, is go camping in your driveway first. You’ll find stuff your thought you didn’t need that you do.

Welcome to the site. I too own a 2018 Thor Fourwinds 28z. It is the perfect size for us. We have 2 Great Danes that love traveling with us. They sleep on the jack knife sofa and that is where they sit while we are driving. Our children and grandson have used the overhead bunk but I had to put a 2” gel foam mattress and padded mattresses cover up there to make it tolerable. I also put a 4” gel foam mattress topper on our queen bed. Hope you enjoy your RV as much as we do!
