Here we go Omni SV34

Hello all-
We just landed a 2020 Omni SV 34
Its a low miles - little use unit and has had NO Maintenance!!
Our history starts in Rvs with a class A 18 years ago, then 6 different Truck Campers with our last one being a Loaded Big Foot Beautiful camper.
We wanted more room and found this unit and went for it........
Soooo - I spent the last 2 days doing batteries, First the dead ford motor craft batteries that would Not come back to life. So I replaced them with 2 X2 Power AGMs. Expensive yes but DONE.
Next - The MESS of 2x6 volt batteries that I can't believe that are placed right next to the Ford DPF Regen and exhaust.....
WOW
And the battery bracket is meant to hold 4 x 6 volt batteries - but they inset all of these breakers and brackets....
Sooo time to get busy and I marked all the wires and pulled everything out.
The The Most IMPORTANT is I took some Roofing tin and cut it to fit on the back side of the battery bracket to block off the heat from the exhaust, then on the inside of that I added some stick on High Heat Insulation from a company called Second Skin, not sure how I feel about what I paid for that but its rated at 850* plus......
Next fitting 4x6 volt batteries in that slot HaHa again HaHa
Help from my son the Glorified race car Mechanic - thanks to Fathers day or it would not have happened....It takes some work but we got it to work.
Then I reworked the wires to fit the breaker and the BIM 160 that is going to be replaced.
With all of that done I'll next be installing my Solar system.
The Motorhome is GREAT it just needs a little work, The inside still had the Stickers, Tags and signs hanging from the cabinets.
Let me know how to add Pics and I will.
Sorry if I'm rambling

Welcome to the forum.

Is this a used unit with no Thor warranty?

Did you read anything about the well documented issues with the full wall slide?

Are you just trying to degrade the Omni

I have talked to other owners and Rv specialist about it and do have a ESP that will help cover any problems I may have in the future........

Not trying to degrade anything.

With the slide issue it is not a question of if it is a matter of when it will fail and it is not just the Omni. It is most Thor models with the full wall slide.

Like I said, not degrading anything just trying to make you an informed owner. Sorry if that offends you.

Barring any factory build defects; if you strictly follow the extend/retract/syncing procedure EVERY time and keep the slide mechanism lubricated with the recommended teflon spray lubricant, you should be ok. Welcome to the club!

Here we go Omni SV34

Also, Judge has outlined a manual leveling procedure & weight distribution that will reduce the tweaking of the frame, thus minimizing the possibility of the slide becoming misaligned.
