What Ford should do is program it that if it's overloaded, as most F150s with RVs, if he don't go out of park til within the the allowable weights.
Not sure how this could help once you have the trailer hooked up, what do you do then? Say "oh my we're a bit heavy, oh well we're only going XXX miles today".
The truck manufacturers would be off to quit advertising the outrageous "max trailer towing weight" & start publishing the payloads instead. And rv manufacturers quit advertising the rv "dry weights" & post the GVWR. Both these numbers are useless in the rv world.
