It Ain't All "Beer & Skittles"...

We sort of need our first repairs on the Tiffin...
Nothing major; but a piece of wood trim came loose in the bathroom. It's a small piece that's about three inches long, and fits under the storage cabinet.
They had put six of these really tiny wire brads through it; to hold it in place. The problem: they didn't have heads on them, and the trim piece just walked it's way right off of them!
That one was an easy fix: a suitable application of some Carpenter's Glue, and it's solidly in place.

But the OTHER one...
The freezer door is held in place by two self-tapping screws. One of them is stripped out, and the door is starting to sag...

I guess this one will need to have the screw hole epoxied shut, re-drilled, and have the screw put back through the repaired hole...

Anything can break or become dislodged: it's how we deal with it that matters!

Welcome back to the real world Bob. Sounds like you’re doing fine though. Glad you like your machine.

Thanks! I'm on it today: if I can find my epoxy!

If it doesn't break, it aint really an RV (Redoeverything Vehicle). This is the life we chose! I always say "I didn't have anything else to do today anyway".

I found the epoxy, and we're good to go!

This was simply an issue with the Norcold folks over-tightening a self-tapping screw...
The piece of wood trim would have stayed put; if they had only sunk several of those brads into it at different angles..
(They were all set straight, and it just walked off of all of them at once! )

One the trip out a loud crash. It was a wood trim piece “held” in place by four brads that barely bit into the wood they were suppose to attach to. Some wood glue and a clamp made it better than factory.

On the trip home the companion piece did the same thing. At least the manufacture is consistent. Out came the glue and clamp.

Owing an RV teaches one lots of repair techniques.
