Air Conditioner condensation dripping down awning

When running the AC the condensation starts dripping down the awning, and even though I have the awning slightly tilted, 99.9% of the time it will drip right over the doorway.
I was thinking of perhaps hooking up some drip system with a small tube and channeling it somewhere. Anyone do this?

Yes, with Trim-Lok drip rail.

Can you please provide me with more information in how you used the drip rail? Does this go along the whole side of the RV?

When you level the coach, how about giving the coach a nod toward the street side? I set the auto level so the coach has a little bit of a lean toward the street side. This keeps the drip away from the awning and we don't get dripped on and there is nothing to buy or add on.

What I noticed was that it mostly dripped on the passenger side, but if the wind was blowing, it would go on the street side. I thought by slightly tilting my awning so that the back was slightly lower, it would drain towards the back, but even then it was dripping right over the door.
In my house, I have an attic AC that I put in, and it has a drip pan. I ran a pvc pipe from the bottom side of the drip pan and out the side of the house. I wasn't sure if I could perhaps do the same thing with a flex line like aquarium tubing. I haven't had the cover off my AC unit, but plan to do so in the next week or so to clean the coils. So I can take a look then.

Many coaches have condenate drains that run to the back

I do as Keefer, use physics and drain on the street side

Like the head of the bed elevation a bit higher anyway

Ditto. Except the head of our bed is on the street side. I solved that by building a simple wedge to slightly elevate the head of the bed.

Here’s the trim lock drip rail. It’s on Amazon
I placed it on the top of the roof rather than on the sides.
I also added spouts on all four ends

I did that too but it’s not a cure all. If you are right level the condensate tends to just overflow the sides. Apparently the surface tension of the water is sufficient to inhibit the flow. I simply adjust the levelers so the low point is where I want it to be - usually the driver’s side rear. It does not take a noticeable tilt to win.

Just remember that water seeks the lowest point. So if it goes down the awning, the roof above the awning is the lowest point. Gutter is the solution. Have them, be it different, on mine. Runs off the back end and front end of the gutters. I try to tilt just slightly to the drivers side and not have the issue on the door/ awning side.

I’ve done the tilt to the drivers side. Just a suggestion, run your slides out when level. Then tilt a tad. With Schwintec slides I dont want anymore stress on the motors than necessary. I also relevel before retracting the slides.

Mine drips off awning into dog water bowl. No real issue and pups appreciate.

I put a 5-gallon bucket under the dripping and I couldn't believe how much water I collected. I find it strange though that I have the awning slightly tilted where the front is up higher than the back and instead of it dripping towards the back, it will drip along the sides. I'd have to tilt it even further perhaps to get it to drain, but I like where it's at.
