I agree that there is no real way to know about media reports. Much of the information they receive can be hype or misinformation provided by sources with clear conflict of interest (dealers and manufacturers????).
My take is that air travel has bounced back considerably already, and some cruise ship bookings are way up for next year. There may still be additional demand for new RVs, but we may also see some post-Covid correction as newbies change their minds about camping. If that happens, used RV costs will decline, which should also affect demand and cost of new RVs.
It’s really hard to say because while I expect an RV correction, I also expect inflation and interest rates to go up. I’ll buy if I ever find an RV I want to own for a long time, but I’m not going to rush the buying process trying to time the market.
