Navigation

Who has been using the included iGo Pimo navigation Thor now has on the 2019s? I am still in the return period for my Garmin. If this new system is any good I might just stick with it.

My 2019 doesn't have it. Given the unreliability of the Axxera multi-function radio, not so sure I'd trust it anyway. I'll stick with my tried-and-true Garmin.

The system in ours is the Ford factory premium stereo/navigation. While it is the bomb, I still use the Garmin 770 RV as the factory system will not allow RV specific programing. 2 is one, one is none.

I am dumping the Axxera. The touch screen works about 50% of the time and the overall execution of this "multi functional" radio is poor.

Next week I am replacing the Axxera with a real multi functional radio, a Kenwood DNX6695S with GPS built in for poor cellular coverage areas.

We have a Kenwood in our rig, and it's a joy to use!
The Navigation system is from Garmin; so it's works just as you'd expect...
The side and rear camera displays are in full color, and really look great!

The system I referenced is in the new class A. Not sure if it is in the ACE, but it is in the Hurricanes and Miramars. Online searches give me odd results. I really like my Garmin 770 RV, and I have not had any issues at all with the Axxera in our Class C. But this new system is different.

I only use the Axxera for 2 things...camera and I stream my Sirius though it. I don't bother with any of the other features, and it works well for what I need. I think I'll just stick with the Garmin so I can have that AND my backup camera on at the same time.

Our first couple of trips heading to Florida from Pennsylvania we used both the Axxera and our trusted garmen both we're giving same route except once to area we'd never been to, almost to campground near Beauford N Carolina garmen turned us down 9 mile road, narrow but still made it,checked the other rout later and Axxera navigation would have taken us on much bigger roads to campground. Back in Pa again from Florida now still using both probably going to just use Axxera now much easier and I really like the trip summary feature.

Good info. Do you find it simple to use and features as good as Garmin?

Nothing special about the nav on my Axerra standard on the new Windsport A's. Most infuriating thing is to zoom in our out (while driving) it takes the two finger wiggle. If the touchscreen is just touched up comes a + - slide scale but the nav re-navigates to the point I touched. No way to avoid this except for the two finger pinch which is quite dangerously distracting.

So, for me it was a cupholder phone mount by my left elbow and Google maps. Much better.
All I use Axerra for is to bluetooth my music and give me full time rear camera.

dumb question but is the Nav on the avm82nav free or do you need to buy the maps?
