Need a new converter for Thor Hurricane
We just purchased a 2014 Thor Hurricane. The converter went out. It was noisy when we 1st got it. Maybe the fan was on it way out. Now we are looking for recommendations for a new converter, hopefully more quiet.

Need a new converter for Thor Hurricane
I replaced the stock WFCO in my 2020 Magnitude immediately with a Progressive Dynamics PD9260 and it works great.
It is very quiet and has a much better battery charging profile than the stock WFCO had.

Parallex Power Supply (PPS) also makes replacement converters that will fit into a WFCO power center

When the fan started making noise on ours a few years ago (long out of warranty) I called WFCO and they sent me a replacement free of charge.

My coach (SOB) came with the Progressive Dynamics converter but it became VERY noisy about two weeks after we took delivery. I set out to find the unit so I could take a look at it before I pursued a warranty claim. I found that a zip tie “tail” had fallen into the cooling fan. A literal one second repair!!

Installed the same model way back in May 2011 replacing the original. No problems and rarely need water in the batteries.

Judge, did you need to modify the installation on the Magnitude for the PD9260? I am thinking of the PD9270 and am wondering about mounting it in the same location under the bed as the OEM converter? I believe the 9260 and 9270 are the same size
Thanks in AdvanceMatt

Not that you asked - I swapped my 30 amp WFCO for a 50 amp PPS 5375 as the form size was similar which made wire swapping easier.
