If you look under your Thor class c or Axis / Vegas you'll find out that their trailer hitch/bumber extension probably makes their towing capabilities specifications quote a big lie. I looked at mine the other night and can't even figure out how to beef it up because one of the tanks is right in front of the hitch which is attached to a piece of very flimsy metal. Anyone that tows anything with one of these motorhomes had better double-check their bumper/trailer hitch extension. If anybody can figure out a way to beef it up I'm wide open to ideas. As mine sits I know it won't tow an 8000 lbs trailer with a 500 lb tongue weight hitch. I wouldn't trust it towing 8000 thousand pounds four down.

If you are wide open to ideas, do some research on a Trailer Toad. I don’t have one but I know a man that does and swears by it. He uses it with a 1990’s Class A that had a maximum tongue weight of 300 pounds. This man had skills, tools and shop to do frame work. He decided the Trailer Toad was the smartest option when all things were considered. He was able to purchase a used Trailer Toad.
