CO detector

CO detector does not have a green light. ..no red either. do you have to do anything after the power is on to see a green light? Says replace battery in 2025? Thanks

My co is hard wired.
You have a battery one, change the battery, test.
If it worked your day is done, if not replace it, or not.
It only goes off to save your life.

I just replaced mine - they go dead at the expiry date. New one also has an expiry date - MARKETING!

I would check the back of the co detector and see if it has any wires running to it, if there is see if they have power. If they have power and its not working replace it, if the wires don't have power trace it back and fix it, fuse, breaker?

UPDATE - I unscrewed it from the wall. The black and red wires are cleanly cut. Never got punched at the assembly plant. NO WONDER IT DOESN'T WORK.
