It seems the feed lines from the faucet itself are barely larger than an ice maker line,they tie into 1/2 but sink pressure is a real problem.? Any ideas

Is it tje same flow using the pump as it is on 40+ PSI with hookups? If the flow restriction is only at the kitchen sink, check the strainer screens on the faucet. They often get clogged with "building debris".

As Gritz Carlton said, check the screen on your faucet. Ours had a ton of small, white "stones" and once cleaned it had plenty of pressure.
