Slow Dometic Awning

On my 2015 Chateau my awning retract is very slow and sometimes it stops, I have to use my drill to finish the retract but after a few turns with the drill the retract button starts to work again. What is the repair before I replace the motor? Thanks

I had this situation in the spring, tried everything before I had to replace the motor. The motor was not expensive, and not really a hard job to replace. Just take pictures of everything so you can refer to them when you were putting it all back together.
