Thor Quantum km24

I’m looking seriously at a sprinter based RV. Currently have a Thor ACE 27.2. I have driven a couple of different ones recently. Today I drove a very low mileage Thor Quantum km24. I was astounded that, with the slide in, I could not enter the bathroom. I’m wondering if this is normal for this model, or has possibly the mattress been replaced or mispositioned? It seems crazy that the bathroom can’t be used without the slide being out.

Thx, Rich

At 6:30 in this video the answer is: stocky boy gets in the bathroom with the slide in.

This is an important thing to look at when checking out any RV. What can I access and what not. Many you can't use the bed with slides in so if you plan to stop at truck stops, or other tight spaces what are you going to do? Smart move it's good you looked at it with the slides in and out. After you get it home it's too late. I've been at a dealership and they didn't want to run the slides in. Made excuses battery was dead and didn't think or offer to get a battery pack and plug in. No didn't buy anything there and won't. Actually 2 different occasions, one was a CW the other I can't remember.

One of the benefits of downsizing is noticing all the smaller spaces and components different from what you're used to. We will be going that route soon to a Sprinter based C class. I've passed over several Floorplan for this reason. Tank valve locations, tank sizes, under coach clearances, placement of generators, etc. just don't fit my plan and what I'm used to. Knowing the spaces must be smaller, it is a challenge finding one that I would give up the Super C for.

Boy ain't that the truth. I went from a 40DP then 39' toy hauler to my 35 super C. But I don't travel with more than 1 kitchen sink etc. An advantage of being experienced in RVs is to see the unworkable design so often encountered. I wish I would have looked more closely at the omni but sadly so many things were not viewable or apparent until using it. I'm working on my "doctorate" in RV experience and education.

Same here...one thing.for sure...never buy anything that has all the plumbing, heating, cooking and water heater IN THE SLIDE. Too many poorly placed moving parts. Most of the issues I've had with the 35SF have been relatively to this poorer than poverty design.

That pretty much summed up our omni, plus other disastrous characteristics.
