Ventline Monitor

I have a 2005 Thor Chateau 28A with the monitor panel attached. Since we are just now getting around to our first trip the question of which tank is 1 and which is 2? I know how I might have numbered them personally but still not sure. One of the levels is showing full (Tank 1) and the gray water is empty as is the black. Faulty sensor or ? They both showed low a few months ago so I suspect sensor issues but would like to know for sure which is which maybe from someone with a similar rig?

Sensors are notoriously wrong. Check out the currently running thread on this same topic, or do a search on this forum.

Normally you’ll have fresh, grey, black sensors, plus battery. Schematics from Thor might answer your questions.

Thanks. I'm finding that to be so true. I was unable to get plumbing schematics from Thor. All they could provide was an outdated electrical schematic but enough to get an idea of some of my wiring. It's an older rig as well so at almost 2 decades old I might consider a newer set of sensors down the road.

What really tripped me up was the sensor reporting an empty tank when in fact it was full. For some reason it starting reporting the correct level in the past few days. Very troubling to be sure as it was the black water tank! See my Oh Sh** post on Maint and repair forum.

Again why would Thor label Tank 1 for number two use and Tank 2 for number one use??
