car alarm
OK just got back from trip and had time to look at this. I previously indicated that I developed a less than $40 solution for my PM not having a car alarm. As I said I installed zip tie mount into back side of door handle pocket and am using re-usable zip ties that I can put in place and then release. These two zip ties keep someone from breaking the glass and reaching in to open door with the inside door handle. I added a motorcycle alarm to each door and they go off if you hit the door. If window is broken or door is open they make a large alarm sound that can be heard far away. I tried hitting window and door with my hand and the alarm gave a quick burst of sound. If you hit it harder or multiple times it will trigger the alarm module that can only be turned off by the remote. I paired both remotes to both alarm modules and it works well. Note I had to use earplugs when testing the alarm as it hurt my ears due to the loudness.
