Electric Radiator Heaters work great.

I just wanted to post something after our cold-ish weekend camping trip. (cant win... most weekend have been 60/70 deg lately in AR)

Well it turned out cold and rainy last FRI / SAT (42 lows - 50 deg high + no sunshine until we left the site on SUN afternoon) and I did not want to cancel it last minute......so I took our electric Radiator heater and rain coat along for our weekend camping trip at the lake.

I was able to use it on low and med setting it it kept the RV around 62 deg at night and 69 / 70 in the day time (perfect for us).

My RV is small (27 foot Axis with one slide) so not much space to heat.

Plus we have a cat now so I was scared to use my little electric space heater (fear of tipping it over or having a cripy critter by morning ).

We did not have to use the Gas Furnace at all.

I know its warming up now but you might want put this on your fall camping trip list.

It worked much better than I thought it would.

I think it would work great down to 32/35 deg with minimum gas furnace use (as long as your plugged into shore power).

That’s what I use as well and mine too is very effective. I rarely need my furnace. I like that it is a gentle, non directional convection heat.

Our local RV resort is in the process of installing 500 or so meters on all sites, seasonal and daily. The reason is HVAC and electric space heaters.

They read the seasonal monthly and daily upon checkout to see if you used more than the daily 10k max. Then .17 on excess usage

Most of the places we stay now have meters or they have upped the daily fee to compensate

We also have electric heaters and use them if electric is included and if not then the diesel burner is on for heat and hot water

When we were in the cold snap in Texas in February with temps in the teens and the power off for several days we still got a bill for $30 for electricity when we left. I’m afraid we’re going to see more of this. EVERYTHING is getting expensive these days!
