Outdoor Air Engine Heat

Has anyone had this problem with their rig: I drive a Synergy SP24 Class C and the join between the chassis and the fabricated cabin has gaps at the floor level so you can see the pavement behind the drivers and passenger seats from inside the rig.

While driving air is forced up into the gap and into the cabin along with engine heat +/- 120 degrees.

I plan on sealing gap with something but wondered if anyone has fixed this problem on theirs.

First welcome to the forum.

Is this rig under warranty and if so why hasn't it been taken to the dealer for warranty repair. A gap between the cab and house is a structural issue that should be looked at immediately.

Thanks for your response. Warranty expired but it is not a structural issue. Its more of a fit and finish detail that was overlooked. The plywood sub floor was cut to fit around an obstruction (metal framing) and the vertical plastic trim does not fit tight enough to seal the opening all I need to do is pull back this trim piece hiding the hole. I've got a call into Thor tech to see what they have to say. Just noticed it while driving through the desert at 105 degrees outside.

Fixed it with self adhering bituminous aluminum flashing and rubberized spay sealant from underneath the chassis.
