Stove/oven noise when traveling
I own a Freedom Elite 23h and when on the road VERY loud noise coming from the oven and stove area. I have removed the grate and pan from the stove, but still the VERY loud noise is present when driving over bumps in the highway.

I use rubberized shelf liner between anything that moves or rattles... cookware, the glass stove top guard, microwave turntable...
If possible, pick a bumpy "test road" near home. Have a helper go back and listen while you're driving... jostle things around and find EXACTLY what's rattling. Sometimes it's not always what you think. I read a post where the flip up counter extension was rattling.

Much thanks for the suggestions.
I much appreciate your input to my severe noise problem. I contaacted my local RV specialist today and we agreed that a trip down a very bumpy road with him in the back would be a first course of action to my problem.

We just use a hand-towel in between the jiggly parts...

My jiggly parts are normally fine without a hand towel.

Thanks much
I wish the noise was just a rattle of sorts, but it is a bone, jaw breaking noise.
I am optimistic that it can be isolted and fixed in a short order.

Sounds like the turntable in the microwave.

My greatest disappointment with owning a motorhome was the noises it makes going down the road. I have learned to live with them.

Yes, Class C vs. Class A
Perhaps a Class A motor home vs. a Class C would be a better choice. Your opinion would be appteciated.

Not much difference really. You're sitting in a cab with it open to the house behind you. Now if you get a big gas A the engine noise may drown out the shakes and rattles.

What about the stove, oven fan vent? My stove vent used to rattle from the wind going down the road. It had a little clip that would hold it shut on the outside.

Things that go bump in the night [or road]:
1. Batteries under the step if not tied down.
2. Glass cover against grills on top of stove [dish towel under the glass works.]
3. shelves inside oven [ remove or duct tape [obviously not while cooking].
4. Crisper trays in refrigerator and shelves [1"x 1/2"sticky back door seal on sides/bottom of trays.
5. Glass plate and rollers inside microwave [wrap in dishtowel].
6. pots and pans inside drawers [foam/towels, whatever it takes].
7. Anything that can slide in drawers [fill gaps].
Hope these ideas help.

We have the two burner range in ours and the glass top was making a heck of a racket. My wife stuck the placemats in between and I later looked and one of the little rubber bumpers was missing, I moved one from the back to the front and will probably look for something better to put in there. Now it is much quieter either way, though it's still a convenient place for the placemats.

Depends on the C and A. My current C rides much better than a previous gas A and similar to the diesel pusher A I used to have. This C rides better than the C just before this one. Current C much more comfortable driving since it's not a leaky POS. Quietest was the DP A since the Cummins ISL was 40' behind us.

You have a super c not a 450 chassis c, your super c probably rides like a Cadillac

I noticed one of ours was disintegrating last fall. I've been meaning to look those up and order a bag of replacements as they fall apart/get lost. They just pop into the little holes on the edge of the range-top frame. I think they gradually dissolve from the heat.

Yes to the super C comment but I don't think any RV drives like a Cadillac. Granted I've never driven a Marathon or Newel but I have driven my former inlaws Caddy. But they also don't need to drive like the neighborhood bread truck or sound like the garbage truck. The nice thing about a TT or 5th wheel, no one rides in them and no one can hear anything. Sometimes it helps to be hard of hearing but that said some RVs inherently are louder. Build quality.
