Wreaths Across America

Folks, never have seen this mentioned on this site. If not allowed for some reason, I guess delete but I can't imagine why!!!!
This organizations go to locations across the nation and lay wreaths on VETERANS graves. I have given to them many years.
This year I went w 5 wreaths since they will be laid on graves at a local graveyard in memory of a young man from our neighborhood and I know his parents. I did not know the young man himself. He was killed in the Iraq war.
If any of you Veterans and are so inclined see if there is a sponsored graveyard in your town. It is quite a site to see after all Veterans graves in the graveyard have a wreath. Thx Dennis.

Wreaths Across America lays wreaths on the graves at the Barrancas National Cemetery aboard the Pensacola Naval Air Station. Barrancas is the resting place for over 36000 veterans. They need donations and volunteers.

My 16 year old daughter is a member of the Civil Air Patrol. They raise funds and lay wreaths at the local Veterans Cemetery. Last year was the first year a a while they were able to raise enough funds to have a wreath for all 600 ish Veterans. They were able to coordinate the transfer of their extra wreaths to Arlington Cemetery. Also last year my daughter was given the honor of placing the first wreath at the first Veteran to enter the cemetery. Very moving ceremonies.
