Arizona bound

We head out tomorrow morning from Southern California and our first stop will be in Williams Arizona. We will board the train for the Grand Canyon. My grandson has never seen the Grand Canyon and loves trains. We stay one night in Williams, two nights in the Gand Canyon and then back down on the train for one more night in Williams. We then head over to Benson Arizona for two nights at the Kartchner State R V Campgrounds and will take the cavern tour. The stay at the Kartchner State Campgrounds is a nice place to visit. They provide water and electricity at each site and have a central dump site. The prices are great at $30.00 per night. It will be hot at both locations. At the end of this month we head out to Utah and will be staying at the Salt Lake City KOA for 5 nights. On our way out and return we will stay one night each direction at the Casa Blanca Casino/R V Camp in Mesquite Nevada. They have full hookups for $38.00 per night. Going to be putting some miles on this 2022 Thor Miramar 37.1 this month.

Paul

Sounds like a blast! We're looking forward to taking our grandson with us in a few years! He's already hooked on hiking with us!

SLC KOA is a nice place.. it is in a sketchy part of town. We stayed a couple nights then went up to Bringham City KOA smaller but very nice.

We returned yesterday afternoon and drove a total of 1255 miles on our trip in our brand new 2022 Miramar 37.1. I drove it on cruise control the majority of the way set at 60 miles per hour. Some sections of highway due to construction dropped it to 55 miles per hour. My overall fuel mileage was 8.7 miles per gallon. That was carrying 100 gallons of water and having my generator on the entire road trip. One section dropped me down to 7.8 mpg and another section had me getting 8.9 mpg. This was our first long road test. The fuels costs per gallon in Arizona for regular gas was under $5.00 per gallon. I used my brand new RV 1090 gps as well as my Ezz Tire Minder TPMS. The Grand Canyon was beautiful as well as the caverns at the Kartchner State R V Park. Great weather all along our journey. We load up again for Utah leaving July 27 for one week.

Wow! 8.7 mpg is impressive. With genny running. So the V8 does increase fuel mileage.
