6 Volt batteries VRS 12 Volt batteries
We are looking at getting better grade batteries for the motorhome. Being I only have room for 2 batteries, I wanted to get the beast available since we are 99% Bondockers. Are the 6 volt Trojan T-105 or the T-125 Trojan good batteries and do you wire them up the same as the 12 volts I am replacing.

I'm doing the six volt only because I already have batteries from a past project.
I'm going to suggest some YouTube videos.
This 6v vs 12v thing is too close to religion and voodoo

Batteries are not the same size, may NOT fit in the RV battery box.
Wiring totally different-- Your RV system is 12 volt. 12 volt batteries are wired in parallel. 6 volt batteries have to be wired in series.. (parallel adds the amperage, Series adds the voltage)

T-105 and T-125 are the best flooded wet cell 6v batteries out there. I have used multiple banks of them on cruising boats over the years. You have to mind the water levels and keep them maintained. The thing about this type of battery vs the "marine" deep cycle 12v is that the "marine" battery will not take the continuous deep discharges that the 6v Golf cart batteries will.
I am sure someone will chime in here with go with 12v AGM batteries or Optima"s because bla bla bla. Like said above, this type of post will produce quite a few opinions, now you have mine to start it off.
As to the wiring, The 6v's are wired in series, meaning positive to negative to join the two to produce 12v's as described above.

The six volt batteries are longer and wider. I have to check the schematics on the size.

I made this last night for the sole purpose of finding where 6v will fit.
It's a test fit device.

Duckface, great idea. Hope you took terminal height into consideration.

Yes, that's what the long line is under the measurements, the battery top. The space above is terminals and caps and an added quarter inch.

Foam board.
https://www.amazon.com/POW-Board-Sur...NsaWNrPXRydWU=
It's about a dollar a sheet at staples.
I've been told one of the dollar stores carry it.
One 20x30 sheet made almost exactly one battery. I made one splice and only had a sliver left over.
Foam board will take a pretty good ass-kicking and hold its shape.

The only benefit of going to the 6 volt deep cycle like you are considering, is they can be discharged to a greater level. If you got the 105 amp hour batteries like you are considering, you will have to connect them in series to get 12 volts and you would only have 105 amphours of capacity. Using two 12 volt 105 amp hour batteries hooked in parallel you will get about 210 amp hour of use. Much better.

Added two 6v batteries pretty recently to the existing two 12v.

No, not correct
T105 AGM or any flooded cell will give you more amps and better service

Yep, the T105s are rated at 220 Amp-hours, not 105 Amp-hours. Basic flaw in Glen's logic.
