The bathroom vent cover on our Thor Gemini 23TR will not stay closed

The bathroom vent cover on our Thor Gemini 23TR will not stay closed. I have tried to tighten the knob that is used to raise and lower the vent cover, but I cannot get it to close the vent tight enough for it to stay closed. I am afraid that rain will come in through the gap that opens up.

Should I just install a vent cover or is there a way to tighten the knob so it will keep the vent cover closed?

Take it apart, it's simple. I believe that a set screw has come loose. It happened to me. Simple fix. Set up a camera if you are not sure how to take it apart so that you can see how to put it back together. It is really easy.

Do the repair like advised, but then you may want to get covers. I have the covers and never worry about rain or if it’s closed while driving. Jerry

It should only take you 15 min per cover...IF I WAS CLOSER I WOULD BE THERE.
