I also added the battery watering system and it is a must in the Axis. I just changed out the battery in my 2016 Axis by taking off the passenger desk and cutting out the dashboard. At least in the 2016, Thor has made the cut for you so it is quite easy to cut the remaining four tabs and through the insulation. Even then it is a long reach down to the battery and Thor - to increase the degree of difficulty - removed the battery lifting strap so I had to purchase a new one and attach it to the battery before I could perform the heavy lift. My 2016 has wheel wells. So it would have been more difficult to take them off and then try to like the battery thru that opening than cut the dashboard. It also gave me the excuse to add more insulation material in the engine compartment on the passenger side.
