Jensen JRV 9000

I am having issues with this radio. The radio powers up but there is no speaker sound. The CD player works but again no speaker sound. There is no signal from any of the cameras. Looked for loose wires behind the radio, none. Fuse was good.went through setting to see if anything was muted, all good. Even did a factory reset.
Everything worked the last time out in September, now nothing.
Any ideas?

You might try calling ASA Electronics tech support. Is this a new install? Make sure the audio output is set correctly as I believe the 9000 has optional audio out settings.
I just had a JRV9000R installed in our A.C.E. and spent a good half hour or more going through all the menus getting it setup as I wanted it.

So we pulled the radio out and disconnected it. Found a whole bunch of paper towels in there maybe mice. Checked over all the wires, none chewed. Checked all the fuses and circuit breakers. We have no answer to why there is power going to the radio but no sound from speakers and no signal from the 3 cameras. Any ideas for anything else to check?
Thanks

Your best bet at this point, other than a local electronics repair shop, is ASA Electronics tech support: tel:877-845-8750.

I apologize for sounding like a broken record!

I called ASA electronics. They will test the radio to see if it is defective.

I’m sure this isn’t the course of action you were hoping for but they will have the resources to either repair or replace the unit.

As my JRV215N was no longer in warranty, I would have been out some cash and decided to just start over under warranty with a new JRV9000R that I ordered from eTrailer.com. I did explore alternative double DIN units, Kenwood, Pioneer, and others, but they were either more expensive or lacking in features. The JRV9000R pretty much just slides in.

Best of luck on your project! I would appreciate hearing the outcome.

This is a good start. If it's not the radio then it is wiring in the MH.

That’s true. Can you connect another source to the speaker inputs? They’re just 8 ohm speakers and if you know which connectors go to the speakers you can prove or eliminate the speaker wiring as the problem.

You mentioned the possibility of a rodent infestation. Still concerned about that?

Maybe?

I had an issue with my radio. Turns out I had the rv still in storage and not in use.

Are you talking about the house battery it draws from? I have the MH plugged into my house with 15A converter plug and I have the switch in the use position.

Do your cameras plug directly into the radio? They may get their power from other source, not the radio.

If the cameras don't plug directly into the radio, how do they connect?
Have you tested anything with a volt meter to see if there is signal from the cameras?
Forgive the obvious, the L/R cameras only have signal from an active turn signal. The rear camera may only work in Reverse gear with the ignition on.

The camera plug directly into the radio. I receive no signal even when the MH is on and in reverse, and also using the turn signals. I haven't tested the cameras with a volt meter.

Well the outcome of my radio problems is that ASA electronics replaced it with a new radio. Thanks Norrirn for the suggestion to contact them.
