Mirimar Generator Stops Running

On my 2022 Thor Miramar, I have had a generator issue. It would run for several hours and then shut down. Start it back up and it might run or not. I took it in and the fuel pump was replaced. It ran great for a few months and now back to the same situation as far as sometimes it might run for an hour or less before shutting down or not start at all. When it does start up, the engine starts surging as if there is a problem with the fuel supply before it shuts down. I have another appointment in early May for tech to check it out. Yes I have over 1/2 a tank of gas in it and the oil level is correct plus I checked the altitude setting set screw. Not sure if it is the fuel pump again, bad fuel line/filter. I am also going to change out the oil and filter as per the manufacturer's recommendation.

What error code is displayed when it shuts down?

Six blinking lights(if I remember correctly). I have to go to it and check it again for the error code this weekend.

Sounds to me like a bad fuel pump. Please be sure filter is also replaced.

The generator code is 36 (3 blinks, pause and then 6 more blinks) and per the manual it is an unknow reason for a shut down by other than the controller shut down. I will be checking closer at the fuel pump and see if it is working correctly. I will check the fuel flow from the fuel pump next. If it is the fuel pump again, I will change it plus the fuel filter. It is also due for the oil/filter change.

I had a similar problem. Mine would only do it on a light load (like just tv and fridge on it). With a heavy load, both AC's etc it would never do it. I believe mine was code 14 (can't remember exactly), but it was the code for "over frequency". Was running average of 69hz and spiking to 72-75hz. Cummins adjusted down to 60hz and have not had the problem again.



However, I changed two things at the same time. I also changed the settings in the inverter to not have the ignition lock. This permitted the fridge, tv's and some of the outlets to run off the battery/inverter instead of directly off the generator.
