Solar hook up.

I have a question. I need to be sure. In the pictures. I plan to hook up my solar panel with the attached cables. Hook the positive up to the batteries picture with the arrow, and the ground to the chassis ground. Will this work?

It looks like it will work the way you describe it. Two additional points:

Alligator clips should only be used for stationary, temporary installations. They could pop off underway and cause havoc.

You do plan to have a solar controller in between your solar panels and the battery, right?

Yes. I do have a controller. Yes the clips, are just for trickle charging when in storage.
