We are approaching 4 years of ownership. Sitting in yard with race trailer connected. Waiting for race track somewhere in Florida to open.

I can honestly say we are not disappointed. We have 28, 000 miles. Tow almost constantly except for Disney, vacations or visiting. No real issues other than chassis battery failure late last summer. Fit and finish about what would be expected at this price point. No issues driving and floorplan works great for us and a dog.

I cannot really complain. It beats trying to sleep in my old Suburban at multi day events and was cheaper than a new Suburban.

Bougth 1 year old 2016 Vegas 24.1 After wife had crazy surguries and was her dream to have RV. Ocean boat guy here.
Read get 1 year old, all bugs be figured out.

Awing ripped its self off rig when wife rolling up in morning for breakfeast.
2400 dollars after insurance denied and gave back all but 1 grand. so why new awing cost 2400.
2 wind shield replacements (one before we bought also) 2016 flaw!! They to big and can't handle stress, why 2017 was 1ft shorter. 1000 buck deductable.
upgraded steering and sway, replaced batteries, replaced almost all running lights. Replaced a tv. Had crazy electrical issues that never got solved. leaks on roof, around break lights, etc.

Wanted a bigger one, so why not trade in get brand new with all bells and whistles!

Beside engine gernading at 2k miles and the 1000 plus in rental car, etc to get RV from PA back to NC after engine replacement! I know that is mainly ford but I think it was more thor on how they kept that engine before RV put on it! So much rust on the inside and outside of this new 2020 rig. 4 months rv didn't have water tank! still has big list of other issures.

YEAH, not to pleased with Thor

we both worked our butts off with both doing careers in Navy and then our own
business and be trying to retired and migrate to full time RVing.
Though Thor RVs would make us happy! HA

Love the layout of the Hurricane 35m, has everything we ever wanted in it!

You know you own a Thor when your hybrid tow car has hitch to tow a tow dolly! HA

If you ever need good ford mechanic team, Bedford Ford PA rocks!! They really did take good care of the rig and engine replacement.

Good RV Dealers for Maintenance

Are there any in Georgia? Seems like Camping World keeps doing less and less. I asked about a chassis oil and filter change and they said to take to Ford. Ford doesn’t do this type of maintenance as they can’t handle the RV size.

Ford truck service usually has a pit and a 18 ft overhead door. If they can handle a 12 yard dump truck, they can handle a 35 ft RV. Don't expect to pay quick lube prices.

Some Ford dealers can and some can’t. But any truck service center can do it. And, in my experience, CW will too although they may require a long lead appointment (and they’ll certainly charge an unreasonable amount). Or you can do it yourself as it’s about the easiest engine on the planet to do. $40 using full synthetic oil and 20 minutes.

Last year Camping World did my oil change. I called to schedule this year's and they said they don't do them any more. If it was in for other service work they could do it but they don't schedule oil changes.

I used to get it done at the Ford garage for $68. Then CW for $189...now a truck center for $299. I guess if you spend 6 figures for a motorhome, they figure you can spend $300 for an oil change. Oh well...grin and bare it.

Assuming it’s a Ford gas engine that we’re talking about....anyone who’d charge $300 for 7 qts of oil and a few minutes of work should be in jail!

Yup $300 is ridicules.

I will do any Ford engine for $295. Just be sure to schedule an appointment to drop it off. I guarantee to have it ready within 2 weeks.

Note: Oil, Filter, Tax & Shop towels are extra.
