I intend to use the Patriot II braking system. Reading many post I have not seen one person mention anything about a brake light relay. Are most of you installing or having the brake light relay installed? Appreciate any input you may have.
Not required with my setup

Outfitting a 2019 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

My wrangler did require one. Easy peasy. Just follow the directions. Etrailer has a fine flowchart that will tell you if nobody with your model responds. See if Hopkins makes a wiring kit for your toad. Just plug and play with all of the diodes and connectors factory installed.

I just set up my 2019 Trailhawk was not to bad did all the install myself and saved. I also installed the battery tender. You will need the brake relay so your lights work while hooked to MH. Love my Trailhawk great car/toad. I used all blue ox parts Patriot 3 braking system.

We had the baseplate and tail light wiring done at The Hitch Corner - they have locations in Littleton and SE Denver. We also got the tow bar and brake system there too.

The Death Wobble Cable was installed at a Jeep Dealer

I have a 2017 GC trailhawk V8. I am planning to tow. I didn’t know about the death wobble. Doesn’t sound good

It's been a few years since you completed this. Are you still happy with your setup? Would you change anything if you were doing it again? I've searched the forums and haven't found a lot about my specific Toad.

I traded my 2014 RAM 3500 4x4 with 120K miles for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite with only 40K miles a few weeks ago. We traded the big trailer we had been towing for a moderate sized motorhome and I wanted something I could flat tow. Thanks in advance!

Wouldn’t change a thing. We’ve put about 22k miles on the towing setup and everything still works like new.
