Well, since I started this thread asking what people tow and why I should let everyone know what we bought. Day after Thanksgiving my wife and I decided to go "looking" at Jeep Wranglers. We had been looking at Carmax and saw that even a used one was not cheap.

Went to the Lodi Jeep dealer, told him our situation and he showed us a Wrangler and we went for a drive. To quote my wife, "It's a metal box." Plus, Jeep offers NO rebates or incentives on Wranglers. The salesman asked if we were interested in a Cherokee but we said we thought it was a little too much for us and the salesman didn't push it. Left there thinking about how much this was going to cost.

Then we went to the Stockton Jeep dealer. Pretty much the same thing; Wranglers are expensive and NO rebates or incentives. This salesman asked about the Cherokee and brought one out anyway, but not in a high pressure way. Took a drive in it and we were hooked. My wife is much more comfortable in the Cherokee and as we husbands all know: Happy wife, happy life.

Jeep offers LOTS of incentives and rebates for the Cherokee. For us it was $6000! A 2018 Cherokee Limited 4X4 cost us less than a Wrangler. Our other vehicle is a 2015 Honda Odyssey which we love and regret we will not be able to take on the road with us, but the Cherokee has pretty much the same bells and whistles as the Odyssey. It's like driving a smaller version of the Odyssey.
