Too many variables to cover all card issurers/merchants, etc. Just learn to expect it. I used to have 95gal capacity and this happened a lot. It is a hassle, but not the end of the world. Lots of times, if you go inside and talk to the clerk, you can get the ok to fill over the limit. But you don't know unless its posted on the pump.
Better things to worry about, like--running low on beer in a dry county.
