The padded end panel on the seat is just held on by 4 screws and the opening for the drawer is already there, just had to build the drawer and build out the inside of the space under the seat to accept the full extension slides.

Love it...I've been thinking about trying the same idea.
Any problem with using the seat belts, now that the drawer is there?
