Did your current configuration include 2 6 volt in series or 2 12 volt in parallel?

If you try going with a single 12 volt deep cycle they are generally big and expensive.

My prior class C came with one 12 volt as standard and one 12 volt as an optional equipment add on.

Bottom line, yes you can get away with a single 12 volt battery depending on your power requirements.
