Dinette bench side trim

I have a 2018 Chateau 31E with the Dream Dinette. The trim piece at the side of the aft bench has come off. It is particle board and secured with just some screws from the back, and the screws ripped out.

I will reinstall it with additional screws and glue, and I think I will probably even add some bolts that go all the way through for strength. The bolt heads will be visible, but I can choose some bronze ones with flat heads that will look okay.

I was also wondering about changing the dinette benches to something more practical since that side trim makes it uncomfortable to sit on the edge. The first photo shows the Chateau dinette, and the second shows the dinette in a Palazzo, which looks like a more useful and comfortable design.

What would it take to upgrade to that Palazzo style dinette bench? It looks like some new bottom cushions and new side trim panel would do the trick, but I'm not sure.
