My wife and I were 100% new to RV'ing. However, the way we are becoming "experienced" is first we spent the first night and only one night in a full service, friendly RV park. After that we went to a local state park for a 2 nighter. Then we went to other local state parks for more 2 nighters. After that we went to two state parks for back to back 2 nighters. We then advanced that to 3 and 4 back to back to back, etc. 2 nighters. E.G. stay 2 nights at a state park, than pack up and move on to the next state park for 2 nights. The constant packing up and unpacking has led us to be relative experts and setting up and striking camp. We will be moving full time into our RV and after our many state park trips we now feel very comfortable in our RV. This forum has a wealth of information and really experienced friendly folks who will give their 2 cents, especially to specific issues, and will usually give multiple valid viewpoints with explanations and discussions.
